Natalia Saurin is a visual artist that works with photography, video and mixed media, born in Buenos Aires, graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano at the University of Image, lives and works between Milan and Finale Ligure.

Her quest is to discover how myth and everyday life are connected to each other, through the use of symbologies, legends, and daily experiences. She has always been attracted to classical and religious iconography, in recent years dedicated his research to the relationshiop between sacred body and sacred.

In 2018 the book "Natalia Saurin, between myth and everyday life" has been published by Moondi editori, the first monograph of the editorial series Art.

Since 2000 she has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2010, she won the first prize at the Renaissance Arts Prize (London) in the video art category. She participates in several artist in residences, among which he was invited to Cassis (France) at the American Camargo Foundation in 2011 to work on the "Les trois M" project, which will take her to trace the traces of the three Maries. In 2014 she has been invited to Catania for the project "My little house" during which she realizes a project where personal history and city history intertwine, "the two mothers".

Represented by Visualcontainer video art distributor based at [.BOX] Videoart Project space in Milan; her videos have been screened at festivals such as Videa, Visionaria, Fiaticorti, Giffoni and Optica (Spain, Argentina, Bolivia, France).

Artista italo-argentina che utilizza fotografia, video e installazione. Si è laureata in Architettura al Politecnico di Milano e ha completato i suoi studi presso l'Università dell'Immagine, una scuola comunicazione e cinque sensi.

Tra i suoi temi di ricerca troviamo la sfera sentimentale, la violenza di genere e il rapporto tra donne e società. La sua ricerca è scoprire come il mito e la vita quotidiana siano interconnessi, attraverso simboli, leggende ed esperienze quotidiane. Il filo conduttore che attraversa tutto il suo lavoro artistico è l'indagine di stereotipi e immagini iconiche; ripetizioni e trasmissioni di concetti e immagini che alterano il concetto di verità e che determinano ruoli prestabiliti.

Nel 2018 è stato pubblicato da Moondi edizioni il libro "Natalia Saurin, between myth and everyday life""Natalia Saurin, tra mito e quotidianità", prima monografia della collana editoriale Arte. Dal 2000 il suo lavoro è stato esposto in numerose mostre in Italia e all'estero. Nel 2010 vince il primo premio al Renaissance Arts Prize (Londra) nella categoria Video Art.

Ha inoltre partecipato a diverse residenze d'artista: The Camargo Foundation a Cassis (Francia), Künstlerdorf Schöppingen Foundation (Germania), My little house (Catania, Italia). È rappresentata da Visualcontainer, un distributore di video arte con sede presso [.BOX] Videoart Project space a Milano; i video sono stati proiettati in festival come Videa, Visionaria, Fiaticorti, Giffoni e Optica (Spagna, Argentina, Bolivia, Francia).
